SLOW DOWN
All that mental noise!
It’s hard enough to comprehend how much clutter you see in your newsfeed, inbox, and social media; add that to the amount of things flying about in your head! Mind blowing!
We’re endlessly consuming, inundated, overwhelmed. In the ever abundant social media and online shopping and news and what ever else! Such is the era our souls have chosen to be born in.
But, unconsciously flitting from one thing to another wrecks havoc on our lives, our health, our relationships, and our happiness.
Why? Because in the flurry of mental noise, how can anyone tune in to their heart, their intuition, their soul, their love?
Slowing down is worth the time
Thankfully you don't have to quit life and retreat into the mountains, there are tonnes of mindfulness hacks that you can do right now, sitting there, and this is my go-to process:
1. Breathe – Literally! Take a deep breath right now. Full inhale, full exhale. Try that again.
2. Body scan – What’s happening in your jaw, unclench your teeth. Can you feel your pulse, in which body part? What about your posture, relaxed, tensed, slumped, lop-sided?
3. Thoughts & Emotions – Take a figurative step back and witness the traffic of thoughts circulating your headspace. No judging them, no trying to stop them either. Then drop your awareness to your chest-space and observe the emotions present.

Slowing down actually leads to freedom.
Cuz I find that when I am on auto-pilot, there’s this frantic rush to keep up with the complexities of life, making life an obligation, a ‘have-to’, a bunch of ‘to-do’ lists.
⛔️ The overwhelm feeling constricts me.
⛔️ The part of not having space in my schedule is like a compression.
⛔️ The part of not having bandwidth for what actually matters to me feels like constraint.
It leaves me without breath!
